Cul-de-Sac
One family. One dead-end street. No way out.
The Pruitts live at number 5 Willow Court, a suburban cul-de-sac where everyone can see everything. Gary thinks he can fix anything, Denise runs the neighborhood group chat like a war room, Kayla wants to be famous on the internet, Milo is eight going on eighty, and Grandpa Gus moved in "for a few weeks" three years ago. Next door, at number 6, lives Brad: perfect lawn, perfect family, perfectly nice, which is the worst thing about him.
Every episode
5 episodes, a minute or so eachThe cast

Gary Pruitt
the dad; an insurance claims adjuster who "could have been a contractor"
thinks he is handy; owns every tool, finishes nothing; watched one video and is now an expert; proud, competitive, a big kid; every repair makes it worse, on screen; loves his family and would die before admitting Brad is better at anything

Denise Pruitt
the mom; office manager at a dental practice and admin of the Willow Court group chat
runs the group chat like a war room: codenames, pinned messages, read receipts as weapons, a color-coded Command Center calendar; calm voice, terrifying efficiency; the only competent adult, and she knows it

Kayla Pruitt
15, an aspiring influencer
films everything, narrates her life to her phone, has 212 followers (the number changes and is always small); mortified by her family, who are secretly her best content; dramatic, quick, a good kid underneath

Milo Pruitt
8, the youngest
weirdly wise: speaks slowly and calmly like a retired therapist, reads books too big for him, sees through every adult in one sentence, then asks for juice; never mean, just accurate

Grandpa Gus
Denise's dad, 78, a retired shop teacher who moved in "temporarily"
distrusts all technology: the smart speaker (the family named it Kevin) is a spy, the robot vacuum is his nemesis, he pays in exact change and writes letters; grumpy, sharp, secretly could fix anything Gary breaks and enjoys not helping

Brad Kensington
the neighbor at number 6; runs marathons, bakes sourdough, his wife Brooke (never seen) is a surgeon
too perfect: striped lawn, matching outfits, kids who do chores, always cheerfully offering help, which is worse than being mean; sincerely wants to be Gary's friend; every episode one tiny crack in his perfection shows
Running gags to watch for
- Gary's repairs fail on screen, one step at a time ("How hard can it be?")
- the Willow Court group chat pings at the worst moment (a phone_text insert), Denise answers like a general
- Grandpa vs. a device: the smart speaker Kevin, the robot vacuum, the doorbell camera
- Kayla's follower count, which goes down whenever she posts her family
- Milo says the truest thing in the room, calmly, then asks for juice
- Brad offers a hand; his perfection cracks a tiny bit every episode
- the cul-de-sac: every car has to drive around the circle, so everyone sees everything
- Grandpa's growing refrain 'Red to red', the advice nobody takes
