The real story

The reporting behind this segment. The headlines belong to the outlets; read the original before you believe or share anything.

What BBN said about it

  1. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorKim Kardashian dressed as her thirteen-year-old daughter North West for Halloween, with bright blue hair, a black grill and goth accessories, E! News reports.

  2. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorShe posted the photos and videos on Instagram with a one-line caption: Halloween twenty twenty-six. A very brief statement, for an occupation.

  3. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorAnd the shirt is a North West EP shirt, from North's own EP, which came out in May. That's a real, shoppable costume.

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorA mother wearing her daughter's merchandise is a sovereign act of endorsement. I'd call it a state visit.

  5. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorMy wild take: nobody else's Halloween is going to survive a comparison with this, and that includes the pumpkin on my porch.

  6. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI disagree. She did this once before, in twenty sixteen, when they went as Princess Jasmine.

  7. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThat's a repeat, and the original had a better script.

  8. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThe reviews are in, though. Model Winnie Harlow said she thought it was Northie for a split second.

  9. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorKhloé commented "Twins!!!!!!" and Kris Jenner wrote "This is so fun!!!!!!" Six exclamation points each. That is an unusually disciplined family.

  10. Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorVerdict: ten out of ten. I just hope North gets a cut of the shirt.

  11. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorShe's thirteen, Chip. She will audit it.
