What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorTonight the U.S. came from two goals down to draw two-two with Spain, the World Cup winners, and Mallory Swanson scored her first U.S. goal since the Olympics, according to ESA's rival network ESPN.

2.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorDale, Nina, one hot take each.

3.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorA draw is a defeat wearing a party hat. Two goals down is a warning from the universe, and the universe does not accept ties.

4.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorNOT. The universe has accepted worse ties than this one.

5.

Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentMy take: the late goal is the real story.

6.

Dr. Nina Byte · Tech & Science CorrespondentScoring after a long drought is statistically a tiny miracle, and it came with the clock nearly gone.

7.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorHOT, mostly because you said tiny miracle with a straight face.

8.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorHank, you have praised a miracle.

9.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorMy final take: this whole block earns exactly one lifeguard whistle. A shark, a helicopter, a draw.

10.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorEveryone keep your feet dry and your expectations at ankle height.

11.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorOne whistle! Wonderful. I'll be blowing it from the shore.
