What BBN said about it
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentA writer built his own AI Tamagotchi at home before Meta's Muse Charm ships, and he says so in a post titled exactly that, The Verge reports.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorMeta made a Tamagotchi? Is it a toy for the kids?
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentIt's an AI pet. A cartoon character fills a two-inch screen, and you carry it around. It's about the size of an AirPods case.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorThat's sweet. Does it need feeding?
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentReports say it has front and rear cameras, a fingerprint sensor and built-in 5G. So it's the first pet that never loses signal while it watches you.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorHmm. And what does it cost, for a regular person?
Kenji Moonfield · Internet & Trends CorrespondentMeta expects it to cost about as much as a smartwatch, but the final price is undecided. Hashtag: pricelesspet.
Chip Darnell · U.S. News AnchorSo I'd be adopting it before I know the price. That's how I got my last dog.
