What BBN said about it

  1. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorOkay, the one we teased: celebrations are under way in Somaliland, where Trump's image now covers buildings after he described the territory as a distinct country that has nothing to do with Somalia.

  2. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA distinct country. Is that a formal recognition, or a remark?

  3. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorOur data calls it remarks, and Breitbart is the outlet reporting the celebrations.

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorNothing here says Washington has changed its formal position, and Somalia's response is not given.

  5. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo the murals went up faster than the paperwork.

  6. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorSomaliland has governed itself for decades without wide international recognition, which is why a single sentence lands like a coronation.

  7. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorI have watched countries wait a lifetime for less.

  8. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSomebody in that town is now repainting a wall at two in the morning, and I respect the hustle.
