Two tickets deliver double the lottery prizes for Maryland woman

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorA Maryland woman bought two identical lottery tickets for one drawing and won fifty thousand dollars on each, a hundred thousand in total, UPI reports.

2.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorTwo of the same ticket, and both of them won. That is a clerical error with a payout.

3.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe played six-two-six-two-six, the same digits she has played for years, and both tickets were entered in the evening draw.

4.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorYears of the same five digits. Somewhere a statistician has just gone to lie down in a dark room.

5.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe checked them on her phone in a parked car. Her words were, Good God Almighty.

6.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorAnd it has happened before. A woman in Landover, another in Baltimore, two identical tickets each time.

7.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo the system is a dollar.

8.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorMy theory: the lottery machine is lonely and rewards anyone who buys it company.

9.

Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorSoon the whole state is buying twins, and the thing runs out of money.

10.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorMine is that she bought two tickets and got lucky twice. She says some of it goes on home improvements. The house always wins.
