Anne Hathaway apologizes for viral red carpet video at 'Verity'…

What BBN said about it

1.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorAnne Hathaway has apologized for a viral clip from the New York premiere of Verity, where she told photographers to start from the left.

2.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorWith us is Priya Sandoval-Oyelaran, a press photographer who has shot red carpets for years. Did the plan bother you?

3. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranNo, I was fine with it. My knee was not, but I was.

4. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranI stand on this step stool, it has done forty premieres, and nobody has ever once told me which side to begin on.

5.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe said, "We are going to start from the left and then we can make our way that way." Was that a bad plan?

6. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranIt was the first plan I've ever heard on a carpet.

7. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranUsually it's forty people shouting a name and a publicist waving a clipboard like a flag.

8.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe said she went into a full cringe crouch afterward. She also called it mom mode by way of chorus line.

9. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranI wasn't annoyed. My shoulder was a little annoyed. Honestly, I'd have paid her to keep going.

10.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorReports say she is heavily pregnant with her third child. So who was working that carpet?

11. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranHer. And Dakota Johnson, who was dancing while we waited, and said "I'm going to leave."

12. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranThat was the closest anyone came to a second opinion.

13.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorShe said, "I apologize, everybody." Did anyone on your side need one?

14. PS

Priya Sandoval-OyelaranNo. We did get a line, an order and a left side. My back is fine, by the way. It's mostly fine.

15.

Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorSo she apologized, you got a plan, and nobody has apologized to the stool.
