What BBN said about it

  1. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorToday's claim comes from a shopping list. Fifty-five weird products for cats, each said to be life-changing, and all of them cheap.

  2. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorFifty-five life changes. For a cat that sleeps sixteen hours a day.

  3. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe list says these items solve common cat problems without breaking the bank. That part is the editor's angle, and it is modest.

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe title is not.

  5. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorWho changed?

  6. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorUnclear. The list does not say whether the cat, the owner, or the couch changed. Only that it is life-changing, in fifty-five places.

  7. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorI once covered a blizzard that changed three lives. We counted them. Individually.

  8. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThen we have a standard. The cheap part holds up. The life-changing part rests on a cat who has not been consulted.

  9. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorAnd the cat's view?

  10. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe cat is looking away. BBN rates this claim Moderately Bonkers. Fifty-five times.
