What BBN said about it

  1. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorScientists in Nepal have described two new species of bent-toed gecko, published in the journal ZooKeys.

  2. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorTwo of them turned up on the stone walls of ancient forts, found during night-time surveys.

  3. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorDoes this affect me?

  4. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorNot directly. Unless you live on a stone wall at an ancient fort.

  5. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorSeven bent-toed geckos are now known in Nepal, and the university behind the work says one researcher and his team found five of them.

  6. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorFive of seven. So the national gecko record is basically one team's field notes.

  7. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorThe same team named three more the year before. So nobody. Before him, it was just the geckos.

  8. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorWhat happens next?

  9. Gloria Vance · World News AnchorMore searching, he hopes. So the eighth gecko is probably already his.
