Star-Studded Westerns That Never Lived Up To Their Potential

What BBN said about it

1.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA list of five star-studded Westerns that never lived up to their potential is making the rounds.

2. TW

Tobias WexcombeOff the record, on a horse, those films had every ingredient. You just have to let the horse do the acting.

3.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThe list says big names and big promise, then the movies fell short. What's your read?

4. TW

Tobias WexcombeOff the record, on a horse, a Western is only as good as its saddle. Most of those saddles were backwards.

5.

   Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBackwards saddles.

6. TW

Tobias WexcombeIndustry standard. Look it up.

7.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorTell us about Dust and Mercy. What's it about?

8. TW

Tobias WexcombeI play a lonely sheriff who talks to his horse about taxes. It's very emotional and the horse gets a producer credit.

9.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorA horse with a producer credit. And you did your own riding?

10. TW

Tobias WexcombeEvery gallop. Mostly. Some of the gallops. Let's talk about my spurs.

11.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorBut you didn't answer the question. Did you ride the horse, yes or no?

12. TW

Tobias WexcombeOff the record, on a horse, a rider and a horse are really one soul, so technically the horse rode me.

13.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorSo is that a no?

14. TW

Tobias WexcombeIt's a no. I fell off a rocking horse in a mall in nineteen ninety-nine and I never got back on.

15.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorThank you for telling us. And those silver spurs you keep mentioning?

16. TW

Tobias WexcombeBought them online. They came with a free hat.

17.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorLightning round. Best Western ever made, in three words.

18. TW

Tobias WexcombeAny one with a stunt double.

19.

Vera Bullock · Co-AnchorFavorite horse color?

20. TW

Tobias WexcombeWhatever the double rides. Dust and Mercy opens soon, and I'm told the horse is wonderful.
