What BBN said about it

  1. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorIt's time to check the Bonk-o-Meter.

  2. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe claim is that a small mountain village is now the second best place on earth for women to live a very long time.

  3. Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorSecond. Which means somewhere else is first, and I would like to know what they're doing to the rest of us.

  4. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe New York Post says the study found traditional Blue Zones are shrinking, while this town is booming in longevity, and women are leading it.

  5. Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorBooming. At living. Who does that?

  6. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe women, mostly. The men are presumably in the back, waiting for someone to explain the secret.

  7. Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorAnd they'll be told it's the mountain air, and nobody will check the mountain.

  8. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorThe claim checks out against the report, so I rate it Mildly Bonkers. Dale, you're welcome to appeal.

  9. Dale Bearman · Chief Skeptic & ContributorI want a recount from village number one.

  10. Hank Ledger · Lead AnchorGloria has the world news, and I hear it has fewer mountains and more embassies.
