What BBN said on air. Comedy, with fictional anchors.

  1. Gloria VanceLysander Quarrie is an actor with Hollow Pines Pictures, and he joins us live this morning. Mr. Quarrie, thank you for being here.

  2. Lysander QuarrieGloria, a pleasure. I'm holding my check up so the camera can get it. Four hundred million dollars, made out to me.

  3. Gloria VanceLet me explain why we're here. Zach Cregger's Resident Evil has reached four hundred million dollars in global ticket sales, Variety reports.

  4. Lysander QuarrieMy accountant says that's a conservative figure. He says it's closer to four hundred and ten.

  5. Gloria VanceWere you in the film?

  6. Lysander QuarrieI was in the building. I was in the parking lot of the building. Spiritually, it's a family project.

  7. Gloria VanceThe film made one hundred fifty-seven point four million in North America and two hundred forty-two point six million overseas.

  8. Gloria VanceChina alone gave seventy-one point four million.

  9. Lysander QuarrieChina! I'll need a bigger yacht for that.

  10. Gloria VanceIt passed The Final Chapter, which made three hundred twelve million, to become the franchise's highest earner. What is your new project?

  11. Lysander QuarrieIt's called Quiet Please, Dad's Asleep. It's a thriller set entirely inside a recliner. We shot it in my den.

  12. Gloria VanceAnd the budget?

  13. Lysander QuarrieMy accountant says four hundred million. I'm told that's a little high for a recliner.

  14. Gloria VanceSony produced Resident Evil for seventy-five million dollars.

  15. Gloria VanceAnd FilmoFilia notes that ticket sales are shared with cinemas, so four hundred million is not the studio's receipts.

  16. Lysander QuarrieShared? With who?

  17. Gloria VanceThe cinemas. They sold the tickets and presumably the popcorn.

  18. Lysander QuarrieSo my yacht is partly a popcorn machine. I want to be honest with you. I've already named it.

  19. Gloria VanceWhat did you name it?
