Transcript

What BBN said on air. Comedy, with fictional anchors.

1.

Vera BullockScientists in London have named a new dinosaur, a cousin of the T. rex, whose fossil sat in a museum drawer for nearly a hundred years.

2.

Vera BullockJoining us now is someone with knowledge of this discovery, calling in from a parking garage. Sir, what details can you share about how this fossil ended up forgotten?

3. BS

Barnaby StratheI can't say more. But I can say the drawer was a drawer. Keep that between us and the whole internet.

4.

Vera BullockHave you been inside that museum, sir?

5. BS

Barnaby StratheI can't say more. I did go once, in school, and I sat on the bench by the whale. That's all.

6.

Vera BullockThe whale. Is that your sourcing?

7. BS

Barnaby StratheI have a document. It says level three, and it says I owe nine dollars. Make of it what you will.

8.

Vera BullockThat's a parking ticket, sir. The fossil was first acquired in nineteen twenty-four, and the dinosaur is called Invictibellatrix amberina.

9. BS

Barnaby StratheI can't say more. But I always suspected something was down there, and by down there I mean my car. It's a nice car.

10.

Vera BullockA hundred years collecting dust is quite remarkable. Most museums would have displayed something like that ages ago.

11. BS

Barnaby StratheExactly what I told my wife. Then the car got towed.

12.

Vera BullockLast question. What was this dinosaur called before the scientists named it?

13. BS

Barnaby StratheI can't say more. Drawer.
